Born in Brazil in 1987, middle blocker Thaísa Daher De Menezes began her volleyball career at the age of 14 at the Tijuca Tênis Clube.A gold-medal winner at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics, Menezes also played on the teams that won the gold at the World Grand Prix in 2006, 2008, 2009, 2013 and 2014, the silver in 2010, 2011 and 2012, and bronze in 2015. Thaisa Menezes was elected “Best Server” at the World Grand Prix in 2011, “Best Middle Blocker” in 2012 and 2013, and “Most Valuable Player” in 2013.Menezes’ teams also won the 2011 Pan-American Cup, 2012 South American Clubs Championship, and 2014 FIVB Club World Championship. To date, Menezes has always played for Brazilian clubs: MRV/Minas (2002-2005), Rexona/Ades (2005-2008) and Osasco (2008- 2016). During her time with Osasco, her team won the FIVB Club World Championship in 2012 and the silver in 2010 and 2014.
