Asian derby in race for 5th place

Manila, Philippines, October 22, 2016 - An all-Asia affair sees PSL - F2 Logistics Manila host Hisamitsu Springs Kobe for a ticket to Sunday's 5th place playoff of the 2016 FIVB Women's Club World Championship.

After dropping out of the race for the medals, Hisamitsu, competing in their third straight Club World Championship, can now only hope to equal their performance of the previous two years with a 5th-place finish.

PSL, an all-star team of the Philippines Super League with the addition of a few foreign players, have been delighting the crowds at the Mall of Asia Arena with plucky performances full of fighting spirit. So far, however, the powerhouses of Europe and South America that they've come up against have been rather beyond their reach and the home side is still seeking their first win.
