Fans show support for PSL-F2 Logistics Manila stars

Manila, Philippines, October 9, 2016 – PSL-F2 Logistics Manila stars met fans at a Meet & Greet event at the Mall of Asia in Manila ahead of the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship which will take place in the Philippine capital from October 18 to 23.

A big crowd showed up for PSL-F2 Logistics Manila to express their support ahead of the World Championship. Skipper Rachel Anne Daquis bannered the star-studded team when they mingled with over a thousand fans, who came to wish the team well before they rub shoulders with seven of the best club teams in the world at the FIVB Women’s Club World Championship.

Daquis, the star spiker of RC Cola-Army in the Philippine Superliga, was joined by local stars Mika Reyes, Kim Fajardo, Jovelyn Gonzaga, Frances Molina, Jen Reyes and Jaja Santiago for a two-hour programme full of fun, games and surprises.

Yevgeniya Nyukhalova of Ukraine, Stephanie Niemer and Lindsay Stalzer of the United States, Tichaya Boonlert of Thailand, Lynda Morales of Puerto Rico, Yuri Fukuda of Japan and Ekaterina Krivets of Russia were also present to sign autographs and pose for photographs with local fans. And as an added treat, Shun Takahashi also made an appearance.

“This is our way of soliciting our fans' support for a tough task ahead,” said Daquis, whose winning attitude has made her a favourite with fans. “We thank them for coming over and voicing their support. We hope to see all of them when we start competing in the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship on October 18.”

Krivets added: “We’re so flattered and overwhelmed with the kind of support the fans are giving us. The place was rocking and the crowd was incredible. We hope that everybody will support us in this tough battle.”

PSL-F2 Logistics Manila will be competing against Eczacibasi VitrA Istanbul and VakifBank Istanbul of Turkey, Hisamitsu Springs Kobe of Japan, Pomì Casalmaggiore of Italy, Bangkok Glass of Thailand, Rexona-Sesc Rio of Brazil and Volero Zürich of Switzerland.
