Fresh from leading the women’s national team of Serbia to a historic silver medal at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Zoran Terzic is in his first season with Volero Zurich, taking over from Avital Selinger.
The 50-year-old Belgrade native has worked as a coach since the 1980s in Yugoslavia and has also had extensive stints with clubs in Romania, in addition to one season with Italy’s Sirio Perugia and three with Russia’s Omichka Omsk.
He took over the national team of Yugoslavia in 2002 (later Serbia & Montenegro and then Serbia), leading his teams to numerous successes, including a bronze medal at the 2006 FIVB Volleyball World Championship, a silver at the 2015 FIVB Volleyball World Cup, the European Championship title in 2011 and culminating with an Olympic silver at Rio 2016.
