 Lonneke Sloetjes was born in the Netherlands, Wisch on November 15, 1990. 192 cm tall outside hitter Lonneke is 322 cm spike and 315 cm block height. 

Sloetjes started her professional career in 2006 with the Dutch team Lichtenvoorde. Between 2009-2011 she played for another Dutch team, Heutink Pollux. In 2011 Sloetjes signed for the German team, USC Münster and moved after one season to Unendo Yamamay Busto Arsizio. After one year in Italy she head back to Germany and played for Schweriner. 
She signed with VakıfBank before 2015-2016 season and on her first season she achieved to win silver medal in 2016 CEV Champions League and gold medal in Turkish League.
Lonneke is also playing for Dutch National Team. With her national team, she won a silver medal in 2015 European Championship, a bronze medal in 2016 FIVB World Grand Prix and semifinal in 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
